How do I publish my first post?
Your Substack is like a blog with superpowers. With your first post, you can easily start creating a newsletter, podcast, video series, or community.
Substack’s simple system lets you publish free or paid posts to the web, email, and our app simultaneously so you can find new readers and always reach your existing audience.
Pick your post type. You can choose from four post formats: standard text-based posts, discussion threads, podcasts, and video.
Robert Reich uses all four post types on Substack. Craft your post in the editor. In addition to text, you can add headers, images, lists, quotes, buttons, media embeds, polls, audio, files, and more to bring your post to life.
Publish your post. Click “Continue” in the top right to review your post settings before you publish. You’ll see options for paywalling, scheduling, editing the social preview, or publishing to the web without sending an email.
