Next week: Finding your niche, with Jarrett Carter

Join us next Wednesday, July 1st for our next writer workshop, featuring Jarrett Carter Sr of HBCU Digest.

Jarrett will talk to us about writing for a niche audience: in his case, historically black colleges and universities.

Jarrett started HBCU Digest in 2010 as a resource covering news and commentary on historically black colleges and universities. He’ll share how he grew his subscriber audience – including paid subscriptions – by going narrow instead of broad, and how newsletters can be a great opportunity to find your focus.

The workshop will run next Wednesday, July 1st, starting at 11am PT (UTC-7). All workshops are free to attend, and there will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions.
