Sounds good, Katie. I've had a family tragedy and haven't engaged for a few weeks, so I have no idea what the virtual tour was, nor what to expect on Thursday. But it's good to be back where I feel at home.
I should say you and the staff here get all the credit for making Substack more than just a site to place our writing. You make us feel as if our voices matter--every writer's dream!
Participating in the tour was a great experience. Having a chance to talk about my work, and to hear other writers reflect on their own, was such a delight. Thank you, Katie and the whole team, for working so hard on our behalf to make writing a less isolated endeavor.
The virtual tour has been fun... mostly I like that Substack keeps trying different things to grow this community, help us meet each other, and, always, improve discoverability. Grateful for all the wonderful people I've met through Substack, including the amazing team -- kudos to you all!
Katie, Thanks so much for featuring Non-Boring History! It was great to have the chance to show off about what's happening in my neck of the Substack woods, where people who hated history are discovering that they just hadn't found the right history. By the by, I must say, artist Jo did capture the spirit of my hair . . .
How inspiring! New to substack and already finding so much fulfillment in the process and place. Thank you all for contributing to such a yummy and diverse container!
I just write 5 titles in Substack to grow my newsletter and bring my writing to deal with the harsh reality of the world. Yes, sometime the world is cruel and non forgiving. But without any interaction, how can I possibly expect new change? Thanks substack for the platform and wish me more subscribers. My boring YouTube channel attract 400k subscribers in around 5 years. My fun substack channel should have a chance to have more number in a same year of dedication. I hope

So fun. I used to take photographs of everyone I met on tour, these illustrations reminded me of that... People! Art! Language! Thank you!
