Each Sunday for five weeks, we’re sharing a collection of posts by writers on Substack. “Desire” is issue #3 in a 5-part series. This series, called At Length, will recommend pieces that we think are not only worth reading, but worth returning to again and again. Our goal is to shine a spotlight on emerging writers and introduce readers to more independent writers who are hiding in plain sight. Each week, we’ll pick a theme and surface a few posts that speak to that theme in a memorable way.
Ha! Yes, I tried that right away -- and it displayed dozens of 'close' matches -- but not this one -- the defining element is in the letter 'e'. Thank you though.
Hi Frederick! If I'm not mistaken, we knew each other on... Tumblr? Is that correct? If not, I apologize for the mistaken identity! In any event: our brand designer, Joro Chen, drew these letterforms herself; she looks at lots of fonts for inspiration when she does these, but the reason it's not coming up with any of the tools is that it's heavily customized / hand-drawn. Hope that helps, and that you're well!
Damn!!!! Mills – yes, of course. I wondered where you went to? Looking forward to your newsletter. And glad you are well. How serendipitous to reconnect in a comments section. (Or maybe it's simply very 2021).
Loving this series, especially enjoyed reading Crystal Jackson's story!
Can someone tell me the name of the font used in the opening word DESIRE? Thank you.
Just use https://www.myfonts.com/WhatTheFont/. Download the picture and place it in the font finder. Very cool, right?
