I practiced yoga for years, and discovered many other alternative “healing” modalities.

They all resulted in demonic oppression, possession, and destroyed my life from the inside out.

The solutions are temporary, and require you to continue doing more and more to sustain your high, just like drugs.

The only truly enduring solution for tiredness (or any other reason one might be tempted to practice yoga) is the Lord Jesus Christ.

He alone is the True Living God whom has been the only reason why I and countless other practitioners or teachers of yoga have been able to be delivered from the depths of the occult and the very real powers of Satan and his kingdom.

Yoga is not a physical practice — it is fundamentally spiritual. Stretching your body and yoga are two different things. You can stretch without worshipping fallen demonic beings (Hindu gods and goddesses), but you cannot do yoga without participating in its fundamental spiritual reality.

Unless the Lord Jesus Christ has given you His salvation and made you free, you are a SLAVE of sin and the devil. You have no alternative options.

You can turn to Christ today, and He will set you free. Just call out to Him and ask Him for His mercy, forgiveness, and salvation.

If you practiced "yoga for years" and had results that brought on demonic possession, then you weren't practicing yoga. And by the way, just so you know...there is no devil in yoga...only ignorance.

Thank you, Andrew. So many people have been deceived to believe that Yoga is a "science," "stretching exercises" as well as there are many paths to "the gods." They are just being deceived by the great deceiver. Even the greeting "namaste" is the deceiver's ultimate deception.

Very well said! When people used to tell me I couldn't be a Christian and practice yoga, I scoffed. How silly, I thought. Yoga is light and love. I carried on. I became a teacher if the practice. I slowly lost my faith in God. I was deceived, and indeed, possessed/oppressed demonically without knowing it. I denounced my faith, and God.

...All while believing I was enLIGHTened. But Lucifer is the light bearer. He masquerades as an angel of light. but he is the great deceiver and the father of lies.

I've returned to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Haven't practiced yoga in over 2 years now. I've been closing the demonic portals this practice opened. I've burned or otherwise removed every book, tarot card deck, symbol, t-shirt, yoga mat, Buddha statue, dream catcher, crystal, and the like from my home. Satan isn't welcome here any more.

--Jesus Christ is Lord.--

He is the true and living God. I challenge you to spend half the time you would spend in yoga practice, talking with Jesus and reading the Bible, even if none of it makes sense at first. The results are real peace and true love. God's mercy, grace and forgiveness are for all who believe, and I am so grateful that He rescued me.

I pray that others in this practice are given eyes to see and ears to hear, and that they seek Jesus for their healing, strength, and salvation.

In Jesus' precious name,

Amen

Hi Jo, I am a carer for my partner after she had a brain injury in 2019. She needs 24 hour care. I found you and have tried the exercises for fist and neck (trapezius stretch etc) really helpful. As a carer exercise is really challenging and things I can do at home in 5 mins are vital. We got to a choir on a Monday for people with mental health issues and I will share your exercises there. Thanks so.much

Just to say, as a practitioner. actually yoga is a science, and the focus in American yoga practice is mostly on that. The divine, of course, is always available in any form if we are open to it, in my experience. There are many wonderful parallels between Christian and yogic/Buddhist practices, and they all focus on compassion and universal love. I don't think that could be counter-indicative for anyone, especially a Christian, no? There's no worship in yoga, only devotion to one's spiritual growth...

Good propaganda regurgitation there. And where did I write that there was “worship in yoga?” I didn’t. The “divine” is not “available in any form.” Sorry. But thanks so much for proving my point.

Why did my friend get this? Neither of us is subscribed to your substack. I avoid yoga like the plague because it is a Hindu worship practice. Each asana is a worship posture for a Hindu god. It is being sold to western Christians through FRAUD, stating it is a health practice when it is not. It is idolatry. I want nothing to do with it, and I do not welcome articles that promote it. If you want to promote Substack, promoting idolatry is the ABSOLUTE WRONG WAY TO DO IT.

TiredCitizen's avatar

Glad someone else knows the truth. Get ready to be bombed. I just tell them all "prove me (us) wrong." Every yoga pose is a hindu prayer pose to a hindu god. Most don't even know what "namaste" means while they chant it to another.

Expand full comment
Desert Nomad's avatar

Thank you. Bombing doesn't bother me. If I get under someone's skin, more the better. I know what Namaste means, but I agree, most people don't. And they don't know the meaning of the hand gesture of greeting in Hinduism. Only Christians can claim to have God in us, since we have the Holy Spirit. But WE are NOT GOD. Eastern religions with these greetings mean that people are gods. I had a very interesting series of conversations about all this with a Sikh. The situation turned out well.

Expand full comment
TiredCitizen's avatar

Absolutely. When churches jumped on the bandwagon of demonic acts like the prayer labryniths, believing in "hocus pocus" prayers (Prayer of Jabez) and now "Christian" yoga, you see now why Jesus wondered if there will even be a remnant when He returns.

Expand full comment
Desert Nomad's avatar

Never heard of prayer labyrinth. Curious so will check what it is just to be informed. I read Prayer of Jabez years ago, but it made absolutely no impression on me. A Lutheran pastor of a new congregation in town has a recommended reading list. On that list is The Practice of the Presence of God by Brother Lawrence. He was a Catholic, of course. I asked the pastor why that was on the list, and he said because some of his members got comfort from it. Reading it myself, I was horrified that this man wasted his life doing "good works" (praying constantly and doing the kitchen chores he was assigned but accomplishing absolutely nothing else just so he could feel good about God) so God would make him aware in his senses that He is present (which He is, all the time). I knew he had been a vicar for my pastor, who is thoroughly in concord with Lutheran teaching on grace, and my pastor actually got on my case for criticizing the pastor. Although at the time he hinted he wasn't happy either. So I get what you mean when you mention Jesus' comment.

Here are a couple of really good links about the issues you raise:
