Clarification: does the 2,000+ in the headline refer to free followers, or paying subscribers? Sometimes I get confused about the language used between free folks (followers, sign-ups, etc) and paying folks (who I think are usually called subscribers, but sometimes I'm just not sure).

Awesome, thanks for clarifying. I sometimes struggle with how to refer to my own folks in my own newsletter... sometimes I get confused emails from free signups when I say things in free newsletters like "Subscribers can read the post here," and they're like "I can't read it, but I'm a subscriber!" I have to remind them that no, they're a free follower not a paying subscriber.

I think all of us are still wrapping our brains around the distinction. Back when I used mailchimp, there were only "Subscribers" and they were ONLY free... it's a shift, for sure!
