Considering the average novel today only sells 5000 copies anything that will support creative writing to reach an audience should be welcomed and encouraged. Would Charles Dickens have used Substack to publish his works? My guess is Yes!

If you think that's bad, the median sales are probably < 50 if you take into account KDP and other online distribution platforms.

Adrian's work is great. But im still not sure what substack is or how it can helps writers. As far as i can see we have to do all the work of bringing paying subscribers in. HOW does substack actually help? I hope it can and does, but dont see how so far.

Does it matter that one(myself) just starting in Su Stack, is traversed or crossed into many platforms in social media, and maybe I should write only in this one platform (SubStack)? I write in Twitter and Instagram and Linkedin, TicTok, and launching a podcast on ⚓ Anchor, etc, and more. Am I spread out over social media and Clubhouse, and Greenroom ~~ too thin? Can you imagine? It's exhausting at times, I value your thoughts on this matter? What is your honest opinion?? Thx
