I’ve had this feature for an about a week and it is so convenient!!! I love being able to respond to comments directly in the post Stats tab. Thank you for this!
I've been using this feature for the past month and have found it really useful as a way to get insights into what people are actually engaging with (vs. just opening/reading) - there are different kinds of posts, and I want to be able to share a mix of passive and active 'content' (god I hate that word) so other readers can find each other. I'm noticing people in the comments interacting with each other and finding common ground which is a nice change from the usual nature of comments sections...
Thanks! It’s very convenient. I hope we will get some advanced metrics too, such as “time in post” and “post reads per day” and even “paid vs non paid readers” per post someday, too. It’s nice to know the basics and the more reader behavior you can provide, the better we can know what’s working on our publications.
I often unlock older paid posts for a weekend and would love to know if anyone actually visited and read them; adding "views by day" would really be amazing.
Is there any way to get info about where people are going? For instance, yesterday I had 50 views on the stats chart, but only 30 is them on the latest posts. What did everyone else look at?
That's a very interesting point. That would be great to have the main View counter letting you know exactly what Posts readers have been looking at. I usually look through the Recent Posts manually to see what is doing well compared to everything else. But that would be easier to see it all in one place... 😎
Would it ever be a possibility that we would get A/B testing for sending emails? I understand that the email is also a post, but I'm pretty sure you could figure something out. For example having the A version as the original post, and the B as email only. This way we could test simple things like call to actions, button placement, etc and really increase our revenue. In my opinion.
This is actually one of the things I was praising substack for in my notes yesterday. Stats is the heartbeat of every newsletter owner. Thanks guys for delivering on the promise and I’m sure everything else yet to happen will eventually happen.

How did you have it beforehand? Did you sell your soul to the devil for beta testing privileges? 😳
No. lol I have no idea, it just showed up one day last week. I do use the app a lot so maybe they rolled it out to some users who use it most?
Sounds like something the soulless might say—but I'll believe you. I might not have it because I only use the app to make moronic comments on here 😞
Do you think substack is the devil? Lol
😳🤫
That's cool
I love the variety of game modes in https://1v1lolonline.io/. From solo to duo and party mode, each mode is man

Substack team is firing on all cylinders. Keep up the incredible work! Great to see most new subs coming from network effects.
This is definitely something that is a real benefit to the app. Very good update. Hopefully there will be more options for stats in the app soon.
Also, wouldn’t mind being able to create newsletter posts in the app too.
Love this direction. Looking forward to (hopefully) the ability to write posts from the app :)
This is great. If it’s possible, I’d like to know click rates of voiceovers and audio embeds.
Wow. Hat off to the the UI/UX team. The stat page looks beautiful 🤩

Great suggestions, and thanks for the feedback!
I also wonder if there is a feature to show who visits which post on what day on the stats page 🧐🫨🤩🫡

This is a super-useful new feature and I second everything Ali has to say about it - Substack continues to be more and more fabulous
🦄💗

Delighted to have more ways to know how few people are reading my posts!
Join the club!
Super useful!! As much as I like working on my laptop, I’m away from it more than I’m near it. This helps a lot. Thanks Substack!

The heartbeat and as one might argue the soul and olfactory system too! 😌
I do not see this on Android yet, despite the app being up to date. (Plus, I really should read the full article before commenting 😄)
Edit: ignore. Refreshing Google Play revealed a new update!
I agree wholeheartedly. Stats are necessary & measured feedback is essential.
