Hello! Embedding PDFs works well in regular posts but it does not seem to work in my welcome emails - free or paid. Any idea why? How to solve it? I'm really keen to give a specific PDF to newcomers, this would be of great help. Thanks.
Ebook embeds don't seem to work for me in Welcome emails (for paid subscribers). Fine on a main post, though. Dragging into a welcome email editor doesn't seem to do anything.
Wouldn't Crossposts-to-Web count as duplicate content? How do they affect SEO? Also, are we still allowed to do email-only crossposting? Cause I don't necessarily want to cross-post to my pub or vice versa.
I "accidentally" was somewhere while updating/viewing one of my posts in the editor. Somehow, I was able to create an audio file WITH EMBEDDED TEXT THAT IT LET ME SELECT, then an AI voice read that text back while displaying my background image, sort of as an oral closed-caption.
HOW DO I GET THERE AGAIN, TO DO THE SAME THING TO SOME OF MY OTHER POSTS?
When sharing notes online or in my own publishing posts, I just click the share icon and choose "Save as image" to download an image. https://basketballstarsunblocked.io
I am unable to integrate ebooks in Welcome emails (sent to paid subscribers). However, this is acceptable for a primary post. Dragging into a greeting email editor appears to have no effect. https://gorillatag.io
One of my subscribers has asked me this. Is there a solution? "Joan, I really liked this. Feel a bit hesitant to share though when contact are asked to contribute $$$."
I love Substack and all the great changes and updates you are making. Would it be possible to get a Donate Button added to the list of buttons when creating a post? It would be great if people had the option to donate as well as subscribe.
Hello, I do most of my Substack writing on my iPhone. I can get most of a Post formatted from an iPhone, but the link 🔗 function does not work from an iPhone--I have to wait until I can access a MacBook. Is this a user error, or by design?
Thank you for all the great new features. Please also remember the many non-English speaking subs.
Buttons like "see all" or standard tabs names, like "about" can unfortunately not be changed. Also missing is the possibility to adapt the HTML element "Lang" to the language of the sub.
I’d love the ability to highlight posts within the Substack app and have access to my highlights. Otherwise, I feel inclined to save posts to a read it later app and highlight there. If possible, I’d rather stay in Sustack for this.
It would also be nice to have a history of the posts and profiles you’ve viewed in the app. Sometimes you can lose a post from a new or unknown publication and have no way of finding it again.
I hope you take these requests onboard as I’m sure other readers and writers would find them useful.
What’s new on Substack

I'm having trouble setting this up: "Notes tab on the publication page lets visitors quickly jump from your posts to view your notes"
I have it toggled on, but when I make it "visible" in my navigation bar, the link only takes you to my first note, not my feed of notes.

I am having the same problem regarding Welcome emails at the moment.
Obrigado pelos novos recursos, ferramentes e apoio @Substack :)
This is all great. Are you planning on adding support for Flourish embeds in the future for data viz?
