Substack is a great platform for free speech and information—as long as it doesn't get purchased or controlled by the autocratic tech broligarchy or flooded with AI generated garbage posts. And yes, it still has a big problem as being a platform used by with far right and antivax propaganda, but thankfully, most users are intelligent enough to recognize the claptrap and then block it. Aside from those issues, I've been pretty happy with using Substack now for almost 3 years. As long as you go into using this app knowing that the subscription model is dubious at best for most writers here, then you'll be happy with it.
