Thank you, Substack! I just launched Kuba's Corner earlier this month, so this is perfect timing. I've been very impressed by the creator support and sense of community I've seen so far. People have been so open and kind!
I'm looking forward to checking out these resources.
Thank you Katie! ✨ I truly appreciate the continuous resources, inspiring stories, and words of encouragement Substack is always offering it’s writers 🤍
I agree and have found all the efforts of the Substack team helpful in finding my way and get my work in a presentable form and out there. I'll also look forward to reading the guides.
I often have trouble getting around as well, especially when others seem to have a road map on what direction they believe works for them and assume it will be helpful to others. I try to stay open to other people's journeys and maybe try some of what they suggest if it fits into what I need and if it is helpful. It is easy to drown in too much searching for the perfect path (paralysis by analysis), and not actually getting down to any writing or productivity. I learn more by experimenting and doing when it comes to the writing craft. I did just publish a piece on my substack and got some good feedback that the article was much too long and that I needed to publish more consistently. It resonated with me, and I will redirect myself to try shorter articles and more consistent publishing. Good luck, don't get lost in the woods, as I often did growing up in a rural area.
Thanks Ron for the good advice. I find find it not in good taste to have a " HOW TO " for us not so bright " We did not grow up ln the"teckie" Hell I'm and expecting my next breath is the last. I want to enjoy the programe
Thank you for the articles. I'm just getting started on Substack and have been posting once per week, which seems to be just the right amount for me. I'm interested in audience building. Everyone says consistency is key, so I'm working on staying focused on writing and hopefully the growth will follow. So far it's been going in spurts and silence. Not sure if that's normal, but I'll continue with my weekly fiction and see where I'm at in a few months. Thanks again, learning a lot.
Substack has a learning curve, but it doesn't seem prohibitively steep. I'm still assessing my initial direction, the actions that I am taking, and where I should change my focus.
I would like to know more about this "Guest Writer" section. I am a critic and have been reviewing film since 1970. I am also the author of "It Came from the 70s: From The Godfather to Apocalypse Now." (Amazon) See my work at ConnieCWilson.com and on my blog, WeeklyWilson.com.
Thank you! I went through these questions as “homework” and found the prompts helpful. I got some excellent clarity, inspiration for my latest post, and added a bunch to my to-do list 🤓📝

Thank you for investing in writers and setting us all up for success!

If anyone would like to collaborate, I have a "Guest Writer" section in my newsletter, "moviewise: Life Lessons From Movies."
If you've ever felt that you learned something about life from a movie, please share it with the "moviewise" community here:

I am retired and really not interested in making money, so if I go to paid subscriptions can I charge $1 per month, $10 per year?
The minimum amount for a paid subscription is $5/month.
Thank you
You can charge $1 per month on an annual $12 plan.
I think, 30$ is the minimum for the annual plan.
Even with an active coupon?
The answer was no, but I can stay with free subscriptions, and I have.
Perfect timing Katie. With the kickoff of Writ Large, my debut novel, on Conked.io next week I’ll be sure to dive into the community growth section!
It’s good to have these guides. I am working to going paid and these guides are very helpful.
Thanks for sharing these fab resources ❤️
I’m going to be launching my Substack publication soon and these resource’s couldn’t have been more timely 🙂
What if I just wanted to read information what's being presented on Substack.
How do I do that? Like Steve Kirsch's writings.
Thank you for this guide! I’ve just published my first Substack this week and these resources have been so useful in navigating the platform :)
Woot woot!!

Wonderful guides, thank you so much! I’m looking forward to implementing some of these ideas in January 😊
