I found you need an agent to even get your work seen by a publisher and of course an agent on is interested only if you have a following and been published. The fact that my books subject matter was a historical fiction about the early day's of the cannabis invasion of the 60's , the subject matter did not lend it self to any interest, so I too had to self publish. Thankfully with patients and diligences and a little money you can put out a good work with out the establishment help.
