What about American Natives (trail of tears, trampled treaties), Chinese railroad laborers (poorly paid, dangerous work, and many deaths), Japanese who were American citizens (who lost their farmlands and were put in concentration camps. Blacks got the right to vote in 1870 but women, half the population, didn't get the right to vote until 1920 (50 years later). Man's inhumanity to humans spreads over gender, ethnicities and cultures. It's not Black lives matter; it's all lives matter. We must always be on guard for the Nixons and Trumps who want to reactivate concentration camps and incarcerate people who object to their policies. We are now seeing what damage corrupt, authoritarian leadership can do with the current world situation with Putin. Let's always keep the big picture in mind when solving lesser problems.

Great Article always happy to hear positive stories from different perspectives. This White man appreciates what you wrote and how well you articulated it. You will notice by the attacking comments that some on the left are scared to death on dialog that unites and doesn’t divide. Plus your aim helps young people see themselves outside the left’s stereotypes and no doubt will inspire them to Greatness. Please don’t lose hope and keep up the good fight! Yes some history shows warts but that is Never the whole story.
