This week, we interviewed Jimmy Doom, who writes Jimmy Doom’s Roulette Weal, a publication that’s posted a piece of short fiction every day for the last 448 days.
It's really true. If people approached weiting like a job more often, they couldn't allow themselves to fall into the excuse trap (which only hurts them, not the people who will never read them).
Yeah, this quote nails it, "I hope people who read Roulette Weal feel like they are either spying into lives they would never otherwise interact with or feel like I’ve spied into their life and captured it accurately, scars and dust and secrets."
I'm amazed at how Jimmy can – in very few words – build a fully described world that can affect me deeply.
Well this sounds great. He seems the sort of guy you could shoot the breeze with any day of the week but I’m the opposite of an internet nerd and can’t fathom how to find these stories. Doh! Help?
I write two medieval fiction series set around the time of Richard II’s murder. Why? Long story. See me on Twitter @nunsleuth or contact me www.cassandraclark.co.uk
Keep going. If only for yourself (fuck what anyone else thinks.) There will be a breakthrough moment where people are exposed to you. Then, set the fucking hook.
“No one ever got plumber’s block.” love it!!

It’s great to see a fiction writer featured. Congrats to Jimmy!
Thanks for inspiring me and prompting me over the years Justin
Haha thanks, Jimmy. That means a lot. And thank you for inspiring so many of us!
Speaking of inspiring, I'm at the Stones concert
Damn! Must have been awesome to see them at Ford Field.
Tons of fun. You can tell the end is near though.
Thank you for this beautiful discovery.

Such a thoughtful piece. Lot of things to learn here.
I'm so intrigued! One of the best emails I've gotten in a while.
