Man, I have to disagree though, on abandoning a book. 20 pages from the ending is so close! I'd at least have to skim to the end. Don’t you want to know what happens?

I will admit that abandoning a book that close to the end sounds nuts, but to your question, I had this overwhelming feeling that I'd had enough of the story, that I not only didn't care how it ended that I didn't want to know what happened. And I liked the book perfectly fine, which makes it even stranger.
