I loved this! I worked as a sub editor, then journalist, now writer and freelance copywriter... and this sentence hit HARD: “It’s very easy for copywriters to fall into critiquing and finding fault.” I think I’m a pretty critical person anyway but my career choices have definitely led me into finding fault professionally and this is a great reminder that it’s sometimes more valuable to use that background and knowledge to call out positives. So thank you! (Obviously I immediately subscribed to Tone Knob too!)

As a sub editor, journalist, and now a freelance copywriter, I've honed my critical eye. But this quote struck a chord: 'It's easy for copywriters to fall into critiquing and finding fault.' My career path has made me a pro at spotting flaws, but this is a powerful reminder that using that skill to highlight positives can be even more valuable. Thank you for the insight! (P.S. I subscribed to Tone Knob right away!)
