I belong to a sci-fi writer discussion group on Gooreads (science fiction microstory contest) and am thinking that relocating to Substack might be reasonable since we could publish here as well. If this makes sense, I will bring it up. What are the limitation on posting length?

There is no official word count or length for emails sent through Substack. You're allowed to write as much as you want. However, Gmail will truncate emails that are more than 102KB (the "Message clipped" notice you might've seen on other people's emails). We display a warning after you've exceeded Gmail's size limit.
Pls do this, Kalifer. I stopped my activities in Goodreads because I don't want to help Jeff Bezos and Amazon for zero return to me. Substack is, in my opinion, the right place for something like your group in Goodreads. All the best.
