We’ve released several new features to help you customize your paid subscription offerings, whether it’s giving readers ways to offer extra support or just taking a step back for a bit.
These are GREAT developments, thank you! QQ - if someone pauses their paid subscriptions, does that mean that time is added to the annual cycle for anyone who paid for a yearlong membership upfront? i.e. I bought an annual subscription on January 1st but the writer paused paid subscriptions for 30 days, now my annual subscription expires January 31st, 2021. Is that right?
Is it possible to change the look of the subscription box? I don't like that the Free subscription is denoted only by the word "None". I wish there could be separate buttons for "Free subscription" and "Paid Subscription" (or "Contribute"), thanks
Launched my substack this month and my gross is already over $500 with annual subscriptions. Loving the platform. Failed blogging 100x times before, but substack makes it so damn ez!
If an existing subscriber, let's say, for $100/year, goes to the super supporter tier, enters $150 and subscribes, do they just have $50 more added to their existing subscription price or to the get billed an additional $150?
I am about to take the plunge and go behind a paywall but would like to offer my current free subs a lifetime subscription for a one off payment as a thank you for their support but cannot see any way of doing this. Does anyone know if there is a way to do this? Also, why doesn't SubStack have support for us to find these things out? Its a great platform but these things really do let the platform down.
Am I missing something completely? All help I search for gives me articles which show me how to do things which simply do not appear in my Substack. There is no “Subscription benefits,” "Supporter Tier" or "Manage Special Offers" options in the Payments section of my Settings? Why can I not find these options? Thanks
At chatgpt, we are excited to announce the launch of our new offering on Substack: more flexibility for paid subscriptions. This means you can now create custom subscriptions that work for you and your customers, giving you more control over your revenue streams. With this new feature, you can easily set up different subscription packages to fit your needs, giving customers a variety of options to choose from. https://chatgpt-4.fyi/
Question - can you make your annual subscriber price more than your monthly? So, for example, if you want to make the monthly subscriber fee low, to ease the barrier for entry, but the annual hire, so it functions more like a support tier, more like the founding member price, is that possible?
It is my belief that I am the Substack user who is most enthusiastic about these updates.
Any plans to do a multi-tiered approach (similar to some other services out there?)
I’m curious about this as well. Should this become possible, I believe Substack would be and remain the leader over any platform, IMO.
I’m new here, but the experience this far has been a dream!
The extra sub tier is great!

I haven't looked at the "add subscription options" yet but is there an option for a one-time feature? Kind of like tipping?
I really would love to implement tipping, although it's untested as to whether my subscribers would use it.
Lifetime subscription option?
Is there a way to have four Paid Subscription Benefits (there are only three fields and no option to add another)

This is exactly what I need rn

I also wondered this, and it’s why I have not activated the super supporter tier.
hey, is this data now obsolete? im looking to create more than one paid tier with the ability to create content for specific tiers.
