Well, I finally found one yesterday at lunch with another author: VAT handling in Europe. Teachable solved this nicely and saved us a lot of headaches, but Marco told me that Substack does not acknowledge the problem yet. And it's a big one for paid subscriptions here in Portugal and the rest of the EU.
Your EU-based authors will be legally required to do a lot of extra paperwork (invoice receipts, payment of VAT for each country where individuals reside or issuing invoices with reverse charge notices in the language of each country for VAT-registered entities) and so on.
