Hi Nadia, I have connected my Stripe account to one of my Substacks (https://curatedspace.substack.com). While charging people in Indian currency works fine, if I switch the currency to $, the payment doesn’t work with the exact same card!
My audience is both global and Indian, and so I want being able to charge in $ as the default. Please help!
Alternately, can people outside of India pay in INR? That wouldn’t be ideal but would still better than the situation now.
It’s almost 2023, is this limitation resolved? As per Stripe FAQ they still don’t support foreign currency payments for individual accounts in india. I don’t understand this utter lack of empathy from Medium, stripe, and substack etc. Is Stripe the only payment option! Why not allow other options! Ridiculous.
on substack, it is always been a great reading for me. I also want to shared my though on this and I'm already working on this project here https://campinggoal.com/
That's great. Team, Can you also indicate how we can make our blog feature prominently on google search results. I run an MBA newsletter @unofficialMBA and I would like to have higher visibility on google searches for MBA prep. Thank you
Hi.. is the minimum amount that I charge my subscribers is still INR equivalent of 5$? It would be great if I can charge my subscribers around Rs 99/- per month and not around Rs. 350.

Hey! You need to enable UPI payments in India. UPI would increase subscribers in India. Please do something about it.
Holy moly - that's amazing. Thank you for doing this. :)
Yes, please provide UPI or PayPal payment method for Indian writers if you wish more Indian authors to join your platform.
This is awesome. Thank you so so much team. ❤️
Yes, yes, yes. Thank you so much team. I have already implemented it. :)
For Indian consumers add UPI payments on both ends. For readers to subscribe and for writers to get paid. This will skyrocket your subscriptions.
