How do we attend this meeting? Do I have to install this app on my mobile device to attend? There are no instructions other than loading the mobile app.
Seems impossible to find this event without subscribing to someone on every panel. Even then, the links in their bios are not alway to substack let alone the live event. Don't have time to search for a new link every 30 minutes and don't have a desire to subscribe to so much new content sight unseen. I did see the first two and noticed audience dropped from over a thousand to a few hundred with the change in video feed. All the substack notices of this event were focused on "get the app" but no info on how to find this event in the app.
Linda perhaps for the future events of this nature, it would be great to have an Asia/China section too, there are some excellent accounts on this platform covering macro and investing In Asia to a really high standard. Think it brings about a slightly different perspective which is no bad thing as people are discovering with deep seek and related developments.
This is a great event, and I count myself as one of the finance writers too. Finance tends to be the most “lucrative” segment for writing, as readers of finance-related content tend to have bigger budget and willingness to pay for information.
However, what does that leave non-finance people? Right now, a growing number of Substackers (25 at the moment) each with at least 100 subscribers are joining a petition to help make Substack economic model more affordable and equitable for greater number of people. But I tried that too - both panelists on one session aren’t on here? (At least didn’t come up in a search.) Seems so poorly organized.
