I find the comments quite interesting. Substack has shown quite an unparalleled standard of free speech, which anyone with any view should be extremely happy about, yet the comments are upset because the Substack allows....freedom of speech. They would rather stifle voices that do not agree with theirs... Free Press is not the problem, Substack is not the problem...stifling freedom of speech because of differing opinions...that is the problem.

Promoting a publication like the Free Press as unbiased and a good-faith actor is stupid and wrong. It’s not a free speech violation to point that out.

Perspective is relative, that's why freedom of speech is so important. Feel free to point that out, heck you can have your own channel on Substack now to point out how the Free Press is not unbiased and how they are wrong! Perspective is relative!

Ok so you admit that criticizing the Free Press is not “complaining about free speech.” Glad to see that cleared up.

PS: the real threats to free speech in America aren’t coming from people criticizing conservatives on campus or online; look at Fla Gov Ron DeSantis or Louisiana Gov Jeff Landry’s or Texas Gov Greg Abbott’s records. You won’t read about those in the Free Press though, because some Oberlin student was a goofy idiot which matters so much more.

Perspective is relative, many love to ignore that and call those of a different perspective idiots, stupid. Many would rather insult than teach a new perspective. Many would rather shut down dissenting voices or leave a platform that promotes a different perspective than they hold. So you see, again, perspective is relative. I am sure anyone can look at anyone else's knowledge and call it bias because perspective is relative. People used to have debates, debates used to be cherished, now it is ad hominem, insults, and cancel culture. Perspective is relative.
