That's why this sentence "Notes is especially valuable for people who don’t have large pre-existing audiences, since it allows them to collaborate with other writers and connect with new communities" is completely false for countries (many in Europe) where Substack has a smaller audience and nobody knows what Notes is.
Result? Having completely demolished the positive effect of recommendations, turning them into worthless followers (people become followers but do not follow Notes at all).
