Thread posts are good to continue more longform discussion. For example, we'll continue to run our Office Hours using Thread posts: https://on.substack.com/s/office-hours
Also important to know that Chat notifications are only sent out via the app while thread posts will continue to go out via email.
This casual photo updates sharing on the go sounds a lot like an Instagram experience yet without the algorithms. Maybe the name ‘chat’ is a bit off as I’m thinking real time text messaging.
This is exciting news. I’m thinking of moving my weekly discussion thread to Chat to keep all conversations in one place. Any thoughts?
